The Pathway...

This is a little place where i will be uploading my newsletters and updates, if you are interested in reading them. i ussually write them once every two months, i would like to say i write every month but it always ends up being longer. I am a missionary/freedom fighter, i live a fairly mobile life following Jesus wherever He takes me and i am inviting you to come along with us. i have been with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) since 2006, which is a NGO and an international movement of christians from different cultures and denominations who live in trust of GOd to make Him known amoung the nations. My focus has been in intercession and counselling...Healing to the nations and healing to the people in them. But this has been a journey within my heart, the journey of a pilgrim hungry for something deeper. I have been awakened to the One who restores broken ruins and i carry that desire within me, to complete the restoration; to bring light, beauty and healing to broken and dark places! I am currently commited fulltime with YWAM Muizenberg in Cape Town, South Africa for the next few years; as staff of of the Prayer and Worship department...if you want to know what that means, then read my posts;)

A few things to note...

I am a 22 year old South African who grew up in a place called Port Elizabeth, living a normal life as i should, keeping it safe, nice and warm in my well decorated little box of comfort and security!

Things are very different now since God broke into my little world, calling me forth to come and walk where only He can take me, to jump off cliffs, let go of everything and come and follow Him; from death into life, lies into truth, despair into joy, and hopelessness into adventure.
I am a new creation, thats who I am, i am free and I’m being blown about by God’s Spirit. Wherever He takes me, thats where i’m going!
I have been ‘saved’ for most of my existence, but had not really experienced the depths of God’s love and the truth of what it does to a person...I’m ruined for life, and i cannot go back. I cannot bare to live a mediocre existence any longer. Time is short, the human race has been making the same mistakes over and over and over, since the fall of man. There is nothing new about the state of the world, it’s all been done. It might look a little different down the time line, but it’s the same dark roots that feed the nations of today. It’s time we break out of this historical cycle instead of joining in with the circus of darkness and war.
This earth needs healing! True, real, permanent change that only comes from Jesus. I seek to be wreckless in love, to risk believing that another world is possible and to take beauty, healing and light to places that are broken and dark, to plant sunflowers in rubbish heaps, to weep with the broken, mourn with the oppressed, and together with Jesus, bring freedom, transformation and restoration to this decaying earth, in other words; “let Your Kingdom come and Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven...”

I am really interested in History, human history mostly. i wouldn't call myself a historian. but i am interested in how coorperate wrongdoing of the past repeates itself within a nation or nations over and over. (being from South Africa it's right in my face.) At the same time i see so much similarity between nations and individule people. How we both function out of our brokeness of when we were wounded, and unless we are completely healed from our history (as nations and people) that which happened yesterday will repeat itself in different manifestations untill it destroys us. This may seem a bit extreme. But the only power that satan has is the power that we give Him through sin, we we invite him to rule through our choices that are contrary to God's truth that brings life. This points us toward the cross of Jesus, that brought Justice to earth, the only way we can be free of this deathly poisen we have consumed is through the atonement of God Himself becoming that sin in our place, buying us back from darkness and cleansing the blood stains of our past with His sacrifice. Jesus did not just die for you and me, He died for nations, He paid the price for national sin, every war that has ever been and ever will be. We jsut have alot of repentance ahead of us.

I feel the anger of God when I see injustice, I feel the cry of His heart from deep inside me. He is furious, enraged, and swiftly breaking the tentacles of darkness that we have been ensnared in, He is fighting for our freedom, and I seek to fight with Him. "The Kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force..."
As strange as it might sound, God seeks to use human beings to bring about redemption, and not just for the ‘called’, but the everybody, the nobodies of this world that will care to listen to the heart of the Father...but sometimes we need to be dangerous in our approach and live for something that is worth dying for.

i thought it would be nice to record this journey i'm on with God, of bringing as much healing as possible to this groaning planet in my short lifetime...and hopefully you might want to join in and become part of the freedom revelution that will continue untill Christ returns and the earth is restored:)
